What Customers Say About High Voltage:

Angus already had his chops well rehearsed and Bon was already a force to be reckoned with. Some bands material just gets better with age. High Voltage shows not only what was to come but much furhter beyond other bands AC/DC were in 1976. Sad that he was headed on a path to final destruction and death. This album is chalked full of classics destined for constant radio and LIVE rotation with T.N.T., Live Wire, The Jack, and Its a long Way to the Top

Another CD to get a few songs to compile one AC/DC fav's CD. That has to be hands down one of my favorite songs.the guitars, the sound.so Kickass. Love it. Wish they would sell their music on I Tunes. Lil' buggers.

ACDC's American Debut. 1.It's a long way to the top (if you wanna rock `n' roll)10/10 2.Rock `n' roll singer 10/10 3.The jack 8/10 4.Live wire 9/10 5.T.N.T. 10/10 6.Can I sit next to you girl 8/10 7.Little lover 8/10 8.She's got balls 8/10 9.High Voltage 10/10

In fact, the song ends with the sound of a crowd cheering and singer Bon Scott saying good-night. Next comes Little Lover, another song about meeting a woman - this time at a rock concert. is probably the most well-known song on the album, and is another live staple. The second song is Rock 'N' Roll Singer, in which a young musician tells his parents that he wants to be a rock star - not the doctor or lawyer they want him to be. High Voltage starts with It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll).

One of the best things about this song is the use of bagpipes and guitars at the same time to create a very unique solo. The final song on the album is the title-track, High Voltage, which is another live staple, probably because of its energy and sing-along chorus. The result of this compilation idea was one hell of an album. Obviously, this song is a live staple.

The sixth song is called Can I Sit Next To You Girl, in which a man notices an attractive woman at the movie theater and then asks her that question. The next song, She's Got Balls, is not about a transsexual, but rather about a woman who has style and knows how to please a man. Next comes The Jack, a song about a card game that is very slow and bluesy but also very fun to sing along to, especially in the chorus. The fourth song is Live Wire, the lyrics to which use the theme of electricity suggested by the band's name. It brings the album to a close and leaves a smile on your face.

By 1976, Australian hard-rockers AC/DC had already released 2 albums in their homeland, but High Voltage, a compilation of the best of those 2, was their North American debut (some of the songs left out can now be heard on the new Backtracks box set). This is a lesser-known AC/DC song, but it's just as fun to listen to as T.N.T. and The Jack. This song is very bluesy, just like The Jack, but is still very upbeat. T.N.T.'s chorus says that "I'm dynamite - watch me explode". Like most other AC/DC reissues, this album comes with new packaging and a booklet containing many great photos and new liner notes. This creative song has a long title but a simple message: 'show business isn't as easy as it looks'.

In one of the pictures, if you look close, you can see a band member wearing a t-shirt that says "no wuckin' furries", a phrase that can be used to sum up the vibe of the music. T.N.T., the song following Live Wire, does the same thing to a certain extent. T.N.T. It's a simple song about the rock 'n' roll lifestyle and rock 'n' roll itself (or to be more exact "high voltage rock 'n' roll"). I highly recommend AC/DC's High Voltage, especially if all you have is Back In Black.

This is the first AC/DC album which was released also in USA. Still, often unfamous AC/DC albums which has its moments. Many of the tracks are still classics but the songs like "Little Lover" and "She's Got Balls" are terrible.

It is probably the rawest AC/DC album you can ever hear. I don't wanna imagine girls with balls. This is actually "a compilation" os two first AC/DC albums "High Voltage" and "T.N.T.".

I don't wanna think balls when I am thinking of girls. The tracks "T.N.T.", "High Voltage" and "The Jack" can still be found in AC/DC's setlist. I like the panpies in the opening track.

Yak. This is the album that still has Bon Scott singing.Stars: T.N.T., Live Wire, It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)
